My Body in the 36th Week

Trimester 3 of your pregnancy

You have probably gained between 11.3 and 13.5 kg, but the good news is that you likely won't be gaining much more weight at this point. Your baby's movements may feel a little different to you during these last weeks as she grows, but the amount of amniotic fluid decreases. It may feel as if the baby isn't moving as much.

My Baby in the 36th Week

Your baby now weighs about 2.75 kg and measures 46 cm in length. Although she'll continue to add fat until birth, her rapid growth period is coming to an end. Her kidneys and liver are functioning; and her lungs are not yet fully mature. During these final weeks in your womb, she's spending a fair amount of time practicing her sucking reflex on her thumbs and fingers.
