My Body in the 11th Week

Trimester 1 of your pregnancy

Your uterus is now almost large enough to fill your pelvis. You may notice some aches in the area between your navel and your groin as your pelvic bones begin to shift. You may notice some changes in your hair, fingernails, and toenails. Your hair and nails may be growing more quickly, or you may find you are losing some hair or breaking your nails more easily.

My Baby in the 11th Week

Your baby now weighs about 8 g. Although he is so tiny, his organs are in the final stages of developing their shapes and functions.

The skin is starting to thicken, and tiny hair follicles are starting to appear. Tooth buds are forming, and so are vocal cords.
