My Body in the 32nd Week

Trimester 3 of your pregnancy

One of the most common symptoms around this time is swelling in your legs and feet. Because your body contains about 50% more blood and body fluids than it normally does, some extra fluid can occasionally leak into your body tissues. Hormones and increased blood flow cause your genitals to become much larger than they were before pregnancy.

My Baby in the 32nd Week

Your baby now weighs about 1.8 kg and is about 42 cm long. She already has definite sleep-and-wake cycles, and probably is sleeping about 70% of the time. Sometime during the next month, she'll develop the ability to dream while she's sleeping. Your baby is definitely large enough now to survive outside the womb. However, her lungs will continue to mature over the next few weeks.
