My Body in the 31st Week

Trimester 3 of your pregnancy

At this stage, your uterus fills not just your pelvis, but a large part of your abdomen, too. You have likely gained between 9.5 and 12.2 kg. You may feel pressure and even some sharp pains in your pelvic and groin area as your bones and ligaments start to open a bit to get ready for delivery.

My Baby in the 31st Week

Your baby now weighs around 1.6 kg and measures about 40 cm in length. He's able to make some pretty strong kicks, and he may respond if you tap against or shine a bright light on your abdomen. Your baby may have a full head of hair by now (although it's just as normal for him to be completely bald), and it's not uncommon for him to get the hiccups.
