My Body in the 5th Week

Trimester 1 of your pregnancy

Your breasts will begin to enlarge and may become tender. You may need to urinate more often than usual because of your expanding uterus. It is also common to feel noticeably more tired than usual—after all, your body is working hard to create a new human!

My Baby in the 5th Week

This week, the embryo's shape changes from a ball to more of a curled tube. One end will become your baby's head; the other will become your baby's bottom. The spinal cord and baby's central nervous system are starting to form. Your baby's brain has already divided into 2 lobes.
