My Body in the 23rd Week

Trimester 2 of your pregnancy

At this point, you probably will have gained between 5.5 and 6.8 kg. What's most important, though, is that your size and your baby's size are steadily progressing. Your health care professional will continue monitoring you to make sure this is so.

You may feel more pushes against your belly as your baby starts moving his feet more vigorously. Don't be surprised if you experience mood swings or are a little more forgetful—it's all normal.

My Baby in the 23rd Week

By this week your baby has reached the size of a doll that weighs 455 g and measures 28 cm in length. Although he is plumper, his skin still has a wrinkled appearance. His pancreas is now functioning, and his brain continues to grow rapidly.
